About The Law Babe

I started The Law Babe with the goal of creating a platform for young female attorneys to share ideas, experiences, and advice as they embark on a career in the legal profession.  And yes, to vent.  Throughout the course of the last decade, I have navigated my way through graduating with a JD from a Top 50 law school, life as a junior and mid-level associate at two Am Law Top 100 law firms, and am now embarking on the next phase of my career as an in-house attorney.  I’ve had some truly fantastic female mentors along the way, and now I hope I can do my part to share a few of the things I’ve learned on my journey with other young women who are just starting out.

To me, smart is sexy, and I don’t believe those two words are mutually exclusive.  You can be smart.  You can be sexy.  You don’t need to give in on either of those things as a Law Babe.

I firmly believe that you can embrace and tap into your femininity while still being a feminist, and you can be a babe while still being a total powerhouse.  My goal is to create content that is useful and informative, whether it’s about the latest legal news, office fashion, or tips and tricks as you navigate life as a young female attorney.   The legal profession is changing and women are increasingly owning positions of power, but we still have a long way to go.  I want to travel that road as a team of women supporting women.

I value hard work, beauty, and brains.  Meghan Markle said it best: “I’ve never wanted to be a lady who lunches.  I wanted to be a woman who worked.”  That, right there, is the Law Babe ethos.  We can have it all.  Watch us.

I’m here to remind you that you are a Law Babe who can do anything your heart desires.  Nothing can hold you back or slow you down.  You’re fierce, brilliant, and powerful beyond measure.  Anything you want, you can achieve.

Stay Smart and Sexy, Law Babe!
